Yakima WA has a Heatwave This Week with Temps in the 80s

Yakima is no stranger to variable weather patterns. No doubt you’ve heard someone say, “If you don’t like the weather, wait around, it’ll change,” More often than not, it’s true.

We’ve had some pretty chilly weather this spring with constant rain but that’s all about to change this week as the sun will be shining and we’ll get our warmest days so far this year later this week.

Stacker consulted 2021 data from the NOAA’s State Climate Extremes Committee (SCEC) to illustrate the hottest and coldest temperatures ever recorded in each state. Each slide also reveals the all-time highest 24-hour precipitation record and all-time highest 24-hour snowfall.

A slight heatwave coming through Yakima isn’t a bad thing, just want to make sure you’re prepared.

Probably going to end up being those days where you bring a jacket to work but don’t need it on the way home, only to need it again the next day and you end up leaving it at work as you didn’t need it. Yeah, I do that, too. We’ll see how it goes.
