On June 8, 2019, James Cloud shot and killed four people while injuring another in a rampage across White Swan on the Yakama Reservation. Shortly after the mass shooting, they grabbed a child and threatened to kill them if their parents didn’t turn over the keys to their car. They attempted to kidnap the child, who escaped through an open window as they drove away.
Comprehensive investigations from the Yakama Nation Police Department, Yakima County Sheriff’s Office and FBI gathered a substantial amount of evidence to convict these men for the violent crimes. That includes witness accounts, fingerprints, murder weapons and more.
