It’s been quite a few years since I’ve had school age kids in the house, but when we did, when it was summertime, we had popsicles in the freezer. When possible, we would go for the big variety pack bag. If we were lucky, it would last us a week.
My personal favorites were half popsicle and half ice cream, the orange cream sickle. You can still get them at your favorite grocery store.

In an effort to reduce confusion, instead of calling them popsicle’s, we’ll Refer to them as “ice pops” Since Popsicle is a brand.
Do you remember your favorite Brand?
It seems there’s always somebody doing a survey somewhere and yes, I found a survey about favorite popsicle flavors and brands.
According to absn.madonna.edu,
‘Using Google Trends search data from the past 12 months, we identified the most searched ice pop brand and the most searched ice pop flavor in every U.S. state and the District of Columbia. The results reveal a mix of classic favorites, regional loyalties, and a few unexpected standouts.’
The most popular ice pop brand was Bomb Pops.

15 states, mostly in the Midwest, listed Bomb Pops as their most popular ice pop brand.
14 states. Say that Goodpop is their favorite brand. Unlike the major concentration in the Midwest for bomb pops, Goodpop seems to be spread all across the Country, in states from California to Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

The biggest surprise to me was the number of states that listed the Popsicle brand most popular, only two states Michigan and New Jersey.
A brand called Fla-Vor-Ice is all alone in just one state, Arkansas.
What about Washington?

This one makes me a little confused. According to the research Washington state’s favorite Ice Pop brand is Outshine Fruit Bars. Like I said, I don’t have kids at home anymore, so I don’t know much about this brand, but really?
OK, how about flavors?

This makes sense to me. Orange is the most searched flavor for ice pops in the United States. Orange accounts for the choice of 16 states across the US. The number 2 flavor, Grape. Popular, mostly in the South. Flavors popular in only one state include Pineapple in Hawaii, Strawberry in Massachusetts, Peach in New York, and Creamsicle in New Hampshire.
You can call them ice pops if you want to.
I’ll still call them Popsicles no matter who makes them.
