Washington’s Favorite Gas Station Snack For Road Trips Is Beef Jerky

Posted on by admin

With gas prices fluctuating the way they have been for the last couple of months, there’s a lot more attention being paid to where you buy your gas. Recently, a study was done using Google Trends to discover each state’s favorite gas station. The results for Washington State are interesting.

According to Google Trends, Washington state loves to buy gas at Safeway, although I’ve been partial to Costco.

According to hartleylawtx.com.
‘As summer travel brings more drivers onto highways across the country, Hartley Law Firm analyzed Google Trends search interest to identify the most popular gas station brands and gas station snacks in every state. From Buc-ee’s and Wawa to trail mix, Cheetos, and Little Debbie Swiss Rolls, the results offer a lighthearted look at where Americans are stopping, what they’re craving, and how regional road trip habits differ across the U.S.’

For the entire nation, it seems that Buc-ee’s, Shell and Mobil show at the top of Google searches in three states.

OK, what about snacks?

But if you’re going on a road trip and stopping at a gas station, what about the snacks? I hate to admit it, but that’s one of my favorite parts of a road trip, and this research turned up some interesting things in Google Trends for snacks as well.

Washington’s favorite road trip snack seems to be Jack Lynx Beef Jerky.

Cheetos seem to be a favorite in California and Arizona, but not for me. I don’t want to drive with orange fingers.

Delaware and Utah like Reese’s Pieces. Me, I like the peanut butter M&M’s.

Florida and Maryland go with Haagen-Dazs ice cream. I can agree with that, but not while I’m driving, someone else will have to take the wheel.

North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee all love Little Debbie’s Swiss Rolls. Not that I’m an expert about this, but I think they’re best out of the freezer.

Colorado seems to be full of meat lovers; they like Dukes Smoked Sausages.

If you haven’t noticed, snacks are one of my favorite things to talk about.

To me, the main takeaway from this survey is that travel and gas station culture changes from state to state. Take advantage of the summer season. Enjoy your travel, and your snacks.

Try to avoid distracted snacking, Uh, driving.
