
WHITE SWAN, Wash. — Detectives from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of a 38-year-old Wapato man on the Yakama Reservation.
According to a social media alert from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and the Yakama Nation Tribal Police were dispatched to the 200-block of 2nd St in White Swan late on October 7, 2022. Initial reports indicated that someone was stabbed.
First responders rushed to the scene and they tried to save his life using emergency tactics, but he succame to his injuries. That’s when detectives were called to take the next step in this investigation and learn what led up to the stabbing.

From speaking with witnesses and surveying the scene, detectives learned that the victim was 38-year-old Julius Kurt Hill II, a resident of Wapato. Coroners are scheduled to conduct an autopsy on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
