The Walla Walla Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday not far from the high school.

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Sheriff’s Office has identified the teen who died in a crash early Saturday morning.
Zaley Blocklinger, 14, of Walla Walla, was a passenger in the single-car crash. Authorities said Blonklinger died at the scene. The driver of the car, another 17-year-old Walla Walla resident, was hurt in the crash and was taken to the hospital. Their condition has not yet been released.
Details on the crash are limited, but authorities said it happened around 2:30 a.m. near Foster and Reser Roads, not far from the high school.
Blocklinger was a freshman at Walla Walla High School. The Walla Walla School District provided a place for students and staff to gather Saturday in the commons area. The school community also released condolences to the Blocklinger family.
The cause of the crash has not yet been released.
