It’s no secret that many studies show that vaping is just not good for you. But there’s a new study out that indicates that even young, healthy users of vape products and E-cigarettes could develop serious health issues.

According to msn.com,
‘Researchers from the Manchester Metropolitan University found that young people who vape have worse blood vessel functionality, breathing efficiency and ability to exercise when compared to people who have never smoked or vaped.’
The study looked at participants ages 18 to 30 and correlated data from three different set groups.

Those who smoked but didn’t vape.
Those that vaped but did not smoke.
Those who did not smoke or vape.
All of those individuals in those set groups had similar drinking habits and use of caffeine.
The outcome of the study was pretty clear.

Both vaping and smoking produced similar results in young, healthy adults with normal lungs. Reduced exercise capacity, shortness of breath, and what is described as intense leg fatigue.
The study said,
“Like smoking, our research indicates that vaping can lead to harmful changes to the blood vessels, lung efficiency during exercise and approximately a 15-percent reduction in fitness compared to those who have never smoked or vaped”
Participants in this study took part in cycling tests and then had ultrasound scans of their lungs and hearts. The results were not good for those who smoked or vaped with the ultrasound, showing increases in inflammation.

Vaping has been shown to be less carcinogenic than smoking cigarettes, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe. The findings of this study clarify that and show that vaping is not safe and can potentially cause damage to your lungs, DNA, as well as inflammation.
This is especially important for the young as their bodies are still developing.
Vaping seems harmless. It’s not.
