PATERSON, Wash. — Washington State Patrol says a car crashed into a semi-truck and trailer, scattering onions all over State Route 221.
On Twitter, Trooper Chris Thorson shared photos of the collision, which happened about four miles north of Paterson just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, September 20.
According to WSP, a car crossed the center line, crashing into the semi.
The trailer of the truck was fully loaded with onions, which blocked the roadway for hours.
Drivers in both vehicles, a 24-year-old man in the car and 36-year-old man in the semi, were taken to local hospitals for their injuries. The extent of their injuries is not known.
According to Thorson the highway is back open.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
