The Tri-City Dust Devils unveiled a super new logo, one of 96 teams participating in Marvel’s ‘Defenders of the Diamond’ for the 2023 season.
PASCO, Wash. — The Tri-City Dust Devils are unveiling a super new logo. Out of 120 Minor League Baseball teams, 96 are participating in Marvel’s ‘Defenders of the Diamond’ for the 2023 season.
The team is donning its new superhero get-ups starting in April. The logo dropped recently, turning Dust Devils’ mascot Dusty into a superhero.
This isn’t just a uniform change for Dusty, but also for the team.
“We will have a couple of nights throughout the year where they will be able to wear these, along with a Marvel inspired jersey that is similar to this,” said Derrel Ebert, Dust Devils Vice President and General Manager.
This isn’t the first uniform update for the team. There are several community-based jerseys and themed nights the Dust Devils do. This includes becoming the Tri-City Rooster Tails on boat race weekends, and more.

“We also have our Copa De La Diversión brand with the Vineros, so being able to really tie our community and the things that are important to our community to the Dust Devils games has been really exciting,” said Ebert.
The Marvel logo is part of a three-year partnership, which has already kicked off.
“We get people to dress up in their favorite superhero costumes and, and things like that, wear different shirts. Started in 2022, we have a whole line of Marvel Dust Devils superheroes shirts,” Ebert said.
Ebert said teams and fans have been bringing out superhero characters for years.
“But this year is the first time in anyone’s history with minor league baseball, where our actual logos have been inspired by Marvel to be brought into the superhero world,” said Ebert.

The ‘Defenders of the Diamond’ game day, where the team will dress in the new uniforms, will be chosen at a later date.
