KENNEWICK, Wash. — The team at Visit Tri-Cities is elated to celebrate the tourism appeal of Southeastern Washington with its 53rd annual meeting entitled Tri-Cities Tourism: The Future is Bright.
According to event organizers, this will be the first time in three years that their annual meeting will be held in person. It’s scheduled for Tuesday, November 1 and runs from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.
Led by keynote speaker Charles Cunningham, Director of Growth at Sparkloft Media, the annual meeting will be headlined by a presentation called Tourism Trends and the Post-Pandemic Traveler.
This comprehensive presentation will explain how the behavior and interests of travelers have changed since the COVID-19 pandemic. He’ll offer specific recommendations for the way businesses operate in regard to community tourism in a post-pandemic landscape.
Kim Shugart, Senior Vice President of Visit Tri-Cities, can’t wait to see the region’s tourism and business communities come together once again.
“We’re looking forward to bringing together the local tourism industry and community at our first in-person Annual Meeting in three years,” Shugart said. “We’re excited to share everything the Visit Tri-Cities team has accomplished as well as a sneak peek into the industry’s bright future.”
The meeting will also include a presentation of the 2022 Kris Watkins Tourism Champion and Excellence in Service Awards and a yearly update on tourism metrics from the Tri-Cities area.
