Viral Taylor Swift lookalike Ashley Leechin claimed that she was dis-invited to the 2023 Grammys when she landed in Los Angeles.
On Wednesday (Feb. 1), the TikTok star announced on her social media accounts that she was “partnering with the 2023 Grammys.” We later learned that it was allegedly the media company Sweety High that she partnered with to apparently promote the awards show.
Then on Friday (Feb. 3), Leechin posted a follow-up TikTok with the caption, “‘It’s Hollywood- it happens all the time đŸ˜¹’ they said … well I just landed in Los Angeles but OKAY.”
In a story time video, Leechin said that it was Sweety High who reached out to her on Jan. 18 via Instagram direct message. She posted screenshots of the exchange. The following day, a team member from the company allegedly called her and explained that her travel accommodations wouldn’t be covered, but that she could walk the red carpet and get a ticket to the awards show.
In subsequent videos, Leechin revealed that she spent over $2,000 on her dress, lodging, flight, child care and other necessities for the big day. She also used the viral “What is your biggest fear?” audio and wrote, “I thought being scammed by a man who had [an] obsession with Taylor Swift was bad but….this…this tops the cake.”
Leechin also responded to a comment where she claimed, “They [Sweety High] invited multiple content creators as well as myself. Part II to come.”
