Cherry harvest continues to hum along across the region. Northwest cherry growers have entered the peak of the 2026 shipping season, with more than 5.5 million boxes already shipped and daily volumes now topping 400,000 boxes.

Industry officials report excellent fruit quality, with strong size, color, and flavor across the region. Increased supplies are also helping bring retail prices into a range that supports promotions ahead of the 4th of July holiday. Northwest Cherries officials added marketing campaigns are underway both in the U.S. and overseas.

And a reminder, National Rainier Cherry Day is coming up Monday June 28th.
