EA Sports released a first look at the Seattle Seahawks in Madden NFL 27, and if you have not seen it yet, stop what you are doing and watch it right now.
Madden barely looks like a video game anymore.
Lumen Field at night. Fog is hovering just above the stadium roof. The 12th Man flag is being raised before kickoff by a celebrity who looks a whole lot like Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch.

You can see Blitz up by the flag raising. (One point before we go on, Blitz is never up there at that time, but it looks cool.)

Super Bowl Champion Seahawks Featured in Madden 27 Teaser
Madden 27 launches worldwide on August 13, 2026, just in time for the NFL season opener on September 9.
The visual detail in this trailer is really stunning. I have been playing Madden for years, and was blown away by the graphics. I just hope the gameplay is just as good. As a Seahawks fan, I probably will buy it on the first day because of what I see in the trailer.
The fog effect sitting just above the canopy of Lumen Field at night captures exactly how that stadium looks on a cold Pacific Northwest evening, atmospheric, loud on screen, and immediately recognizable to any 12 who has been there.
The pregame flag-raising sequence is the kind of detail that shows EA Sports did its homework. The 12th Man flag ceremony is one of the most iconic pregame traditions in the NFL, and seeing it rendered in what looks almost like broadcast footage tells you how far game graphics have come.
Blitz was done really well, and a touch that Seahawks fans will appreciate immediately. I do not remember mascots being in the game before, but he looks great. I showed a few people I know who do not play video games, and they thought it was real game footage.

What Madden 27 Promises to Deliver
Beyond the visuals, the game is promising significant gameplay improvements. All new wide receiver and defensive back interactions bring realistic hand fighting, jostling, and leverage to every route. I noticed one player having a “conversation” with another after the play, and it seemed very real and natural.
Timing-based catching and contested interaction improvements aim to make every 50-50 ball feel like a real NFL moment. Short yardage mechanics and plays like the Tush Push are specifically called out as refined.
Gameplanning and customization features are also expanded, giving players more control over decisions before and after the snap.

The Best Time to Be a Seahawks Fan Playing Madden
Think about it for a second. You are playing as the reigning Super Bowl LX champions. Jadarian Price in the backfield. The Dark Side defense is fully loaded. The most iconic stadium in the NFL is rendered in near photorealistic detail. I am actually excited for Madden for the first time in years.
August 13 cannot get here fast enough.
