RICHLAND, Wash.-The Ninth Annual Take Strides Tri-Cities suicide prevention walk is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Fran Rish Stadium.
The walk, which will begin at 6 p.m. at the stadium, helps raise awareness, provide support and promote hope for youth, according to the Richland School District.
Those participating in the walk are encouraged to wear yellow to show solidarity in preventing suicide as speakers along the route to John Dam Plaza share their stories of hope and encouragement.
The first 500 youth participants in the walk will get a free T-shirt and dinner ticket and the event will also feature, trivia, music and vendors, according to the RSD.
