Just under 2 hours later, the suspect was located, seen driving the woman’s vehicle in Toppenish. Officers gave pursuit, but he refused to stop and left town. The chase continued on Track Road north toward Wapato.

  Then What Happened?

The suspect, who continued to ignore the pursuit behind him, ignored efforts to make him stop, then turned westbound onto McDonald Road off of Track Road, and as he gunned the car across the railroad tracks, he was hit by an eastbound Burlington Northern train, which was moving at brisk speed.

This is the area of the collision.
