Road Crews Promise Drivers a Much Smoother Commute Over the Bridge Soon

This project is more than a patch job. Crews will remove the old pavement, repair the bridge deck where needed, install a new waterproofing layer and repave the roadway.

On Monday, WSDOT Began Working to Repave the Surface

Finally! Over the years, potholes have been filled, and re-filled. Crews have made multiple temporary repairs, however traffic and weather elements have continue to batter the original surface.

This Is NOT just a Temporary Fix, But a Permanent Resolution to the Issue

Just looking at the potholes makes me cringe. I can’t imagine trying to avoid them. According to WSDOT, most of the work will happen overnight.

One direction of SR 14 will be closed at a time. The bridge WILL remain open in BOTH directions during the day.

A weekend closure is planned the weekend of Friday, August 14th through Monday morning, August 17th. Only one direction of the bridge will be closed during this time, with sgned detours through Camas and Washougal.
