Silent Witness Memorial to raise awareness about domestic violence set for Oct. 25 in Pasco

Posted on by admin

KENNEWICK, Wash.-The Annual Silent Witnesses Memorial and Candlelight Vigil to support Domestic Violence Services of Benton and Franklin Counties is Friday, Oct. 25.

The event from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Legacy Events in Pasco is free and open to the public.

The annual event hopes to raise awareness about domestic violence and the lives lost to domestic violence in the community will be honored and remembered at the event, according to a DBSVF press release.

“We invite everyone to join us as we honor these lives and work together to prevent future tragedies,” said Operations Manager Lizz De La Mora. “By participating, you are helping to raise awareness, support survivors, and advocate for a future free from domestic violence.”

Each silhouette on the Silent Witness Memorial will represent a person lost to domestic violence, according to event organizers. Survivors and advocates will speak at the event, local artists will perform and light finger foods will be provided.

More information on the memorial or DVSBF is available online or by contacting Lizz De La Mora at 509-840-2004.

Legacy Events is located at 5212 Outlet Drive in Pasco.
