Several boat launches in Richland closing over weekend for triathlon

Posted on by admin

RICHLAND, Wash. – Multiple boat launches will be closed during the Fri., Sept. 20 to Sun., Sept. 22 weekend, according to Richland Parks & Recreation.

The City of Richland notes that the closures are due to the upcoming IRONMAN triathlon on Sunday.

The Columbia Point Marina Park boat launch will be closed all three days, however the marina and public docks will remain open for boat access.

The Leslie Groves Boat Launch at Snyder Street and the North Howard Amon Boat Launch north of Newton Street will both be closed only on Sunday.

Despite the three boat launch closures, the Columbia Park West Boat Launch will be open throughout the weekend. Boaters are asked to use that launch or another launch within the Tri-Cities over the weekend.
