In addition to the physical material libraries provide, the Richland Public Library is expanding their local and statewide attraction pass program.
RICHLAND, Wash. — Libraries provide more than just reading material. In addition to the physical collection it has to offer, the Richland Public Library also offers local and statewide experiences.
The Tumbleweed Tourist Attraction Pass Program is a way to visit places like the REACH Museum, the East Benton History Museum and more. There’s also four new attractions, including Discover Passes that grant access to state parks.
“It’s built for anyone in our city that wants to see some of the attractions in our region. Most of these attractions will grant access to groups of four six so a family can visit these attractions for free by simply just reserving a specific date to those attractions,” said Christopher Nulph, Library Manager.
Nulph said it’s for anyone who lives in the City of Richland, you just need a Richland Library card.
Reservations are available online. The library is reminding people to review attraction conditions and operating hours before reservations are made. Once reserved, the pass is emailed and ready to use. Find reservations here.
The current attractions the Tumbleweed Tourist program has includes the REACH Museum in Richland, East Benton County History Museum in Kennewick, USS Triton Tour in Richland, Franklin County History Museum in Pasco, the Tamastslikt Cultural Institute in Pendleton and the Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale.
Patrons can also check out a Washington State Discover Pass for up to seven days. This pass must be picked up and returned in person.
