Registration still open for Reindeer Races

WALLA WALLA, Wash.- Wear your best holiday gear and make your way to Pioneer Park on December 9 to take part in the 2023 Reindeer Races.

The Reindeer Roundup 1K and Run Run Rudolph 5K start from Rudolph’s Archway and go down Sasayama Drive for the race.

The 1K us open for everyone under 10-years-old and will go around the bandstand three times. Each runner will be awarded with a candy cane for every lap while racing in front of Santa Claus with cookies and hot chocolate.

The 5K starts at the same point and goes through the path three times around the park.

The City of Walla Walla encourages racers to dress up as Santa, elves, reindeer, snowmen or any other holiday characters, but be mindful to stay warm as the event does take place in the evening.

Every participant receives a medal, t-shirt and three Reindeer Raffle tickets. Those who have not signed up can still register starting at 4 p.m.

The Reindeer Roundup 1K starts at 5 p.m. with the Run Run Rudolph 5K following at 5:30 p.m. The raffle is set to start at 6:30 p.m.
