According to a social media post from the Pasco Police Department, officers were informed of the crime at 8:27 p.m. PST on October 7, 2022. Two suspects who were caught on a blurry security camera were accused of stealing from the superstore and fleeing the scene before the officer could respond.

In speaking with witnesses and employees, the Pasco police officer learned that the suspects allegedly brought expensive items to the self-checkout register and swapped the tags with less expensive items worth only a few dollars.
