OTHELLO, Wash. — Mass quantities of dangerous fentanyl pills were among the items seized when deputies raided a home in Adams County on Monday night.
According to a social media post from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, a team operating out of their region served a search warrant at a residence on the 600-block of Wagon Rd in Othello. They arrived around 10: 00 p.m. PST on October 10, 2022.

Upon entry, deputies searched the home for evidence of an illegal drug operation. They eventually found roughly 2,000 fentanyl pills that appeared to be packaged and ready for distribution. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is a primary driver of opioid addiction in the U.S. — particularly, in Eastern Washington.

Along with the pills, deputies also found cash and items that were illegal for a convicted felon to own including two rifles and ammunition. This led them to arrest 51-year-old Jaime Alberto Garza of Othello at the scene.
He was booked into the Adams County Jail under the suspicion of a second-degree charge for unlawfully possessing a firearm and possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver the illegal substance.
