MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A 27-year-old Moses Lake man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon, September 20.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened in the 6700 block of Randolph Rd NE around 12:30 p.m.
A Dodge Durango pulled out of the parking area of the Grant County Animal Outreach to turn onto Randolph RD when a Kenworth Construction commercial vehicle struck the Durango on the driver’s side.
Both vehicles left the roadway.
The driver of the Durango, Juan Garcia, was pronounced dead at the scene. His female passenger was treated at the scene and flown to Central Washington Hospital. Officials say she is in stable condition.
The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured.
The GCSO says witnesses reported the Durango did not yield to the right of way of the approaching vehicle.
