The Moses Lake Police Department has just released information about a Friday night burglary, that has some strange circumstances.
Burglary Suspect Captured With Illegal Firearm
Late Friday night, MLPD Officers responded to a report of a break-in at a business on South Frontage Road, and when they arrived, they spotted a man nearby.
47-year-old Jeremiah Warner was pushing a motorcycle along the road, in front of the business where the break-in occurred. Because of his proximity, he was detained by Police and questioned.
Was the Motorcycle Part of the Heist?
The MLPD didn’t say how the bike was related to the burglary call, but during the on-scene investigation, Warner denied being part of the burglary, but Police found he was carrying a pistol, in violation of his multiple felony convictions.
And, the gun belonged, or was registered to, a deceased person. That should make the investigation even more interesting. Warner was booked into the Grant County Jail for illegal weapons possession.
