Latest Drug Overdose Death Update in WA State
The data utilized is from King County, via the Coroner’s Office. But it provides a focused snapshot that exists in every county.

Last week’s report indicated 13 people died from confirmed overdoses of drugs ranging from fentanyl, to meth, cocaine and other narcotics. The latest data is from June 22nd to June 26th. One of the shocking statistics from the reports are the number of older persons, above 50, who have died.
Last week, one of the victims was 85. This week’s report indicates 16 people officially died from overdoses in King County. Of those 7 were 50 or older, and of that total, four were over 60. Five were under 40, but only 2 were 30 or younger.
Since The Center Square began assembling the tracker May 26th, a total of 63 persons have died from overdoses in King County.
