A man was arrested in Richland after Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of George Washington Way for reports of gunfire.
Witnesses Heard an argument With a Gunshot Following
Early Tuesday, just after midnight, Richland Police officers responded to the call, where two witnesses reported hearing an argument.
A Felon Was Located and Arrested
As Police arrived at the scene, they found a male subject and a handgun nearby. After investigation, it was determined that the male is a convicted felon.

The suspect is also the respondent in an active no-contact order, prohibiting him from possessing a firearm. According to Richland Police:
The investigation ultimately led to the discovery of a spent shell casing in the subject’s additional clothing when he was booked into the Benton County Jail.
Initially, Police didn’t find any spent shell casings or damages in the area of where the gunshot was heard.
