Major Military Tech Firm to Dump 120 workers in WA State

INDUS, according to their website and other data, is a major Defense Department contributor and supplier of IT services, security, engineering, logistics, data management and more.   Various data sources say INDUS employs anywhere from 400 to 600 workers.

A WARN Alert has been issued by WA State Employment Security, INDUS is laying off 120 workers at their Keypoint, WA facility, which is located along Liberty Bay.  It’s part of the Naval Base.  The alert says by early September, the 120 jobs will be gone.

Exact employee numbers are not always released by companies, but WARN used the word “layoff” in the release.  It is not known if they are closing up operations, but that is a considerable reduction.

However, a check on their website shows at least 6 job positions are being sought for at the Keyport facility.

This reduction mirrors other major firms who are either leaving, or have made major operational cutbacks in WA due to increasingly unfavorable business conditions.
