Gas Leak from Truck Closes Benton County Roaway

Benton County Sheriff’s Office Warns of Gas Leak
Today, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office warned the community on its official Facebook page about a gasoline spill. The spill was large enough that the entire area needs to be closed down to all “through traffic” until the spill has been cleaned up. The road is still open for people that live or work directly in the area, but all other traffic is restricted. The spill happened near Bowles Rd in between S Oak St and Carlson Rd in Benton County.

Spill Caused by a Full Tanker Semi Involved in Accident
The spill was caused by an accident involving a semi loaded with fuel and large amounts leaked in the area The accident occurred in the area of E Bowles Rd and S Oak St and all eastbound lanes of E Bowles Rd from S Oak St are completely closed. All other traffic is asked to avoid the area until the spill can be cleaned.
