Officials say the Roza Fire, which was human caused, has increased to well over 400 acres and is moving north, fast in Kittitas County.
Residents North of Selah Warned to Be Ready To Go
As of 10:45 AM Wednesday June 17, Level 2 evacuation warnings were issued for a wide area along Burbank Creek, Burbank Creek road near State Route 821. It’s about 20 miles north of Selah.
Level 2 means have essentials packed and be ready to leave immediately if needed.
The fire had temporarily closed I-82 due to jumping the median, but after that happened Tuesday night, the Interstate has since re-opened.
Residents on Roza View Drive have also been evacuated, as the efforts to curb the blaze continue.
