KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash, – Kittitas County authorities are asking the public for help in identifying a man whose remains were found more than three decades ago.

The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner said they have more information on the man but need a break in the case to finally identify him.

On August 29, 1987, authorities said the human remains were found in a remote area of Kittitas County. Authorities said the case has been actively worked for the last 35 years, but identifying the man has not yet been possible.

The Kittitas County Coroner’s Office reached out to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) with the information that was known.

A forensic artist who works with NCMEC was able to take the information that was available and draw what could be an image of the man.

The man is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s. He is thought to have black hair and brown eyes. His height was between 5’1″ and 5’7″.

If you have any information on who this person is or what may have happened to him, please call the Kittitas County Coroner’s Office at 509-933-8200.

You can also contact Detective Andrea Blume at the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office at 509-962-7525.
