Right then and there I knew exactly what I was going to have for lunch, I had to try this out. So, when lunchtime rolled around, I jumped in my vehicle, made it down to KFC in Wenatchee, and walked in to make my order.

I was first in line.

I placed my order and they told me I was the very first person to order the country fried steak meal, and they were going to make it fresh. While I was waiting, I got myself a root beer, (Because KFC is also A&W root beer) and about four minutes later I had my lunch.

The entire meal, of course, includes the country fried steak. You also get mashed potatoes, gravy over both, and a biscuit with the fixings. A nice mound of coleslaw (if you’re into that sort of thing) I’m not a big coleslaw fan myself. I’ve been told that’s my problem, and I need to fix it.

The country fried steak was crispy, the gravy could have used a little more pepper, but I always want more pepper. The mashed potatoes, as always, were great. The biscuit was, well, a biscuit.

Just a quick note.

On the Internet ad the meal was advertised as being $4.99. When I looked at my receipt, it looked like I was charged $6.99, plus the cost of the drink. There was no printed material inside the store that indicated any price for the meal, so I Just decided to roll with it.
