Kennewick police investigating gunshots, possible assault

KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Kennewick Police Department is investigating a shot that was fired on Sunday afternoon according to a press release.

KPD says officers were sent to the 6000 block of W Quinault Avenue at 1:22 p.m. for reports of an assault with a weapon.

Officers reportedly found evidence of a single shot being fired from a gun in the area after searching for a suspect and interviewing witnesses.

KPD says no one was injured and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call KPD’s non-emergency number at 509-628-0333 and reference case number 23-088801.
