KENNEWICK, Wash. — While no suspects or victims in a nighttime drive-by shooting have been identified, community members near the 4100-block of W 4th Ave are still reeling from a bevy of gunshots that were heard across the block on Tuesday.

According to the Kennewick Police Department, officers in the area heard gunshots and rushed to the block around 8:15 p.m. on October 25, 2022. As they drove toward the gunshots, dispatchers confirmed that multiple neighbors in the area called to report the gunshots.

When they arrived, an investigation was immediately launched, but no suspects or victims were in sight. Kennewick police officers spoke with some people who were in their homes at the time of the gunshots.

It’s unclear how much information they’ve obtained to this point or if they have any leads on who might’ve been responsible for the gunshots. However, there was enough evidence to substantiate claims that the gunshots were sourced in this area.

There was evidence of damage found at some of the nearby homes belonging to people who weren’t involved in the shooting. KPD officials say that the investigation is still underway and is being led by their Criminal Investigations Division.

Do you have any information that might help them find the responsible parties? You can call the Kennewick Police Department’s non-emergency dispatch at (509) 628-0333.
