Kennewick man killed after a semi crashes into his car

KENNEWICK, Wash. — A crash between a car and a semi Monday night, Sept. 26, resulted in a death.  

According to a release from Washington State Patrol, a car was parked in the roadway along State Route 395 at Milepost 18, Kennewick City limits around 6:30 p.m.  

The vehicle had been involved in a prior collision.  

A semi hauling a trailer was travelling south and struck the car, killing the driver, 27-year-old Kevin J. Hinojosa of Kennewick.  

Charges are pending for the driver of the semi.  

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the collision.
