Anybody who knows me knows I love good food, and there’s nothing I love more than good food, except maybe a good TV show about food, and that brings me to Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri.
Drivers. Diners, Drive-ins and Dives have been spotted all over Washington state, including Eastern Washington locations like Kennewick, Spokane. Leavenworth. And Pasco.
Where were they seen?
Most recently, they were spotted the other day in Ballard.
According to Fox 13 seattle.com,
‘FOX 13 Seattle spotted a cherry red convertible parked outside Lupe’s Situ Tacos at 5239 Ballard Ave. N.W. at 9 a.m. Monday. While the vehicle resembles a classic red Mustang, fans of the show know Fieri’s signature ride in the opening sequence of “Triple D” is a restored 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible.’
Now typically Guy Fieri and his video crew are not going to come to Washington state for just one location, so we’re hoping they’re going to make a trip over to Eastern Washington soon. They dropped in on the 59’r Diner on Hwy 2 on the way up to Stevens Pass a few years ago.
One of my favorites on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives that they visited in Eastern Washington was Porter’s Real BBQ In Richland.
Porter’s is the real deal.
Truly they are the home of “low and slow”, the brisket and pulled pork are great, and the side dishes are just as wonderful. One of my personal favorites, of course, is the stuffed baked potato, and although it’s a little pricey, the beef ribs are a revelation. For dessert, don’t forget to ask about the molasses bars.
