BURBANK, Wash. — Crews from the Washington State Patrol are at the scene of a two-vehicle collision involving a commercial truck carrying potatoes and a pickup truck on WA-124 on Thursday afternoon.
According to a social media alert from WSP Trooper Chris Thorson, the collision took place near milepost two of the roadway. This location is west of Burbank Heights, meaning the collision happened nearby to the bridge linking Walla Walla County and Pasco, Washington.
Although there have been some reported injuries as a result of this crash, none of them are considered life-threatening. Traffic is rotation through the roadway as the westbound lane is blocked as a result of the collision.
Washington State Troopers are now investigating the crash and circumstances surrounding it while clean-up crews and tow trucks help to secure the roadway to be fully cleared.
The identities of those involved, the number of occupants between the two vehicles, and the specifics of their injuries or the events leading up to this collision haven’t been made public at this time.
