Benton County processes 19,000 ballots for the 2023 general election

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.- According to a press release sent by the Benton County Auditors Office over 19,000 votes have been counted for the November 2023 Primary Election.

According to the auditor, 19,782 ballots have been counted. These ballots were dropped off or mailed in by Friday, November 3.

There were also 482 challenged ballots according to the Auditor. Challenged ballots are situations where the voter did not sign the envelope or the signature on the ballot did not match what was previously on file.

According to the auditor, there is an estimated 20,000 ballots left to count.

The next update with results will be published on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m.
