KENNEWICK, Wash. — It was a busy evening for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office with four separate arrests made on Thursday night for vartious felony crimes including domestic violence, burglary, assault and failure to register as a sex offender.

According to a social media post from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, excellent feedback and communication from people across their jurisdiction played a huge factor in bringing these offenders into custody.

“We received exceptional support from the community with witness statements and photographic evidence, leading to these arrests,” the BCSO post stated. “Thank you!”

In one of the cases, a domestic violence altercation, Benton County deputies made the decision to activate the Sheriff’s Foundation to provide support. The victim received a hotel room for the night to rest safely along with a warm meal and resources to connect with Domestic Violence Services.

If you find yourself in a dire situation and need help, don’t hesitate to contact your local authorities — particularly the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. In the event of an emergency, call 911. If it’s not an emergency, you can reach out to non-emergency dispatch at (509) 735-6555.

Also included in the four arrests was a sex offender who failed to properly register with the community. No further details regarding this person’s identity or residence have been made public.
