After Another Busy Fourth, Should the Tri-Cities Ban Fireworks?

Before we had Bodhi, our other dogs didn’t mind fireworks, but now we’ve got a dog that shakes and freaks out.

We’ve been heading to Oregon to the family ranch near Condon to get away from the noise.

I’ve been following a lot of the Facebook groups, and it’s pretty divided. I do find it interesting when people say it’s a right to fire off fireworks, but maybe it should be like driving a car; it’s a privilege.

That privilege can be taken away from you if you misuse fireworks.

I know I, as a teen, had plenty of close calls with fireworks, and today as an adult, I just wouldn’t take those chances, but that’s me.

My wife, on the other hand, says let them ring.

So I’m curious if you think fireworks should just be banned in Benton and Franklin counties?
