Aaron Carter‘s cause of death has been revealed months after his passing.
According to documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, the singer’s cause of death was drowning as the result of difluoroethane and alprazolam.
Difluoroethane was found when the medical examiner did a toxicology report on Carter. It is a gas that is commonly found air spray cleaners, and it can induce feelings of happiness.
As for alprazolam, that is a generic form of Xanax. According to the publication, that medicine usually has the opposite effect of difluoroethane, because it can cause drowsiness and sedation.
The investigation into his death revealed that the “Aaron’s Party” artist had become “incapacitated while in the tub due to the effects of inhaling compressed gas and alprazolam.”
Moreover, the usage and inhalation of those products had led to him being submerged and “unable to breath” resulting in his passing.
At this time, they do not suspect that there was any foul play when it comes to his passing. His death has ultimately been ruled an accident.
