I grew up in a pretty small town, with not a lot of people. In fact, the population of Naches, Washington, was around 1,040 residents in 1999.
Only 605 people, just 9 years prior to that (according to the Office of Financial Management). But is my hometown still so sparsely populated that it made this list? Maybe back then, but highly doubtful today.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved growing up in a small town and knowing almost everyone in my school as well as on my street. It has that charm but also that elbow room, where you’re not bumping into a lot of people.
