UPDATE: Pasco schools no longer under “lockouts”

PASCO, Wash.-UPDATE. 11 a.m. The lockouts at three Pasco schools have ended.

According to the PSD, the lockouts due to “police activity” in the area near Captain Gray, Emerson and Pasco High have been lifted, however, the district is unable to provide any more details at this time concerning the reason for the lockouts.

Three Pasco schools are currently under “lockouts” that have been in effect since around 9:15 a.m.

According to the Pasco School District, Captain Gray and Emerson Elementary, as well as Pasco High and the Early Learning Center are currently in lockouts, due to “police activity in the area.”

Under a lockout no one is allowed entry into the schools, but the schools are operating normally inside, according to a social media post from the district.
