YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.-One woman was hospitalized after a car versus semi truck crash on I-82 near Zillah on the morning of Sept. 30.

Washington State Patrol troopers responded to the crash in the westbound lanes near milepost 54 around 6 a.m.

A Kia Forte and a Mack truck were both heading westbound when the driver of the Kia tried to change lanes and hit the tire of the truck, rolled and came to a stop on its side, according to the WSP.

The driver of the Kia, a 30-year-old Toppenish woman, was transported to Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the semi truck, a 52-year-old Los Angeles man, was uninjured in the crash.
