Bellingham is known for a lot of things. It’s a beautiful, gorgeous town with some great parks like Whatcom Falls Park, there’s a thriving art community, there’s a very cool shopping district with loads of cool, unique shops. I’ve always kinda known it as the last bigger town before the Canadian border. There are lots of hiking trails and the mountains nearby including Mt. Baker up north makes it an awesome place to visit and live.
But it’s not a city without flaws. There are some dangerous roads and intersections in Bellingham.
According to many, the most dangerous road in Bellingham is Sunset Drive which includes Highway 542.
In fact, this road is the second deadliest road in the county.
The first being I-5 due to the number’s game. There are more drivers on I-5 so that would make sense that it would show high on any list like this. Though I-5 could still be considered the deadliest road in Bellingham, but excluding that because ‘of course it is, it’d I-5’ Bellingham Herald has a lot to say about it and how one can be wary of roads like this.
Bellingham has its share of terrible intersections as well. According to tariolaw.com they say the worst intersection is Bakerview and Northwest with the most accidents compared to other popular intersections.
