Sellards Rd and Travis Rd reopened after blocking collision south of Benton City

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. –

UPDATE 3:15 p.m.

According to Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the roadway is now open.

UPDATE 2:45 p.m.

According to Scott Hawley, Fire Chief of Benton County Fire District #5, the collision was a two car minor injury collision. One person was transported to the hospital.

Tow trucks are on scene to remove the vehicles from the roadway.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office will be investigating the collision.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, there is a blocking collision at the intersection of Sellards Road and South Travis Road, south of Benton City.

BCSO requests drivers find another route.

When driving through dense fog with low visibility, drivers are advised to turn on headlights and drive cautiously.
