RICHLAND, Wash. – An early morning hit-and-run incident in Richland led to the arrest of a driver who crashed into a house in the 1800 block of Birch, police said in a release.
On February 3, the Richland Police Department (RPD) said officers responded to the scene around 12:24 a.m. and found the driver had fled on foot, but that they located the suspect two blocks away and took him into custody.
RPD said the suspect was found to be highly intoxicated and was arrested on hit-and-run and DUI charges.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the crash resulted in only minor property damage.
