There’s a lot that goes into finding the perfect job for you. That nice mix of people hiring and someone looking has to combine into the ultimate opportunity for all parties involved. As it turns out, Washington state doesn’t seem to have a problem with people hiring.
WalletHub took into consideration the job opening rate from the previous month as well as the last 12 months. Alaska is the worst case for states that are struggling with hiring.
Washington comes in 4th place for states that are not struggling with hiring with New York being the least worried about hiring, followed by New Jersey and Connecticut.
This comes off the heels of the job hiring issues that were happening deep in the pandemic. Many lost their jobs or were let go with plans on re-hiring once restrictions were lifted later. There were also several who left their job on their own.
If you’re wondering why Washington isn’t doing so bad where maybe you disagree, I have a feeling so much of this would be based on the west side of Washington and all the jobs available, especially all the work-from-home positions from places like Amazon and more in the Seattle area. Either way, love to see Washington state on the good side of things.
