In a bittersweet trade-off, the Atlanta Hawks are still in the NBA playoffs after winning game five, but the win has forced Janet Jackson‘s concert to be delayed after the venue became double-booked.
According to NBA.com, the Hawks’ win means that they will be playing in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena Thursday night (April 27), which was when Jackson was scheduled to perform as part of her Together Again North American tour.
Jackson’s concert is now set to take place on Friday, April 28.

The outlet noted that Jackson’s tickets will be honored, and refunds will be issued to fans who can’t change their plans.
Fans reacted to the switch-up online, like one person who pointed out that Taylor Swift is also set to bring her massive The Eras tour to Atlanta from Friday through Sunday.
“Just move it to the weekend? Sure … but Taylor Swift has shows Friday-Sunday at the Benz,” the fan tweeted before adding, “Stay away from downtown Friday night!”
Another fan echoed that sentiment, tweeting, “Good luck to everybody!” ahead of the predicted traffic struggles during the two concerts.
Hawks player Trae Young also joked, “Sorry not sorry to this LEGEND,” and expressed his wish for her to attend the playoff game now that her night is seemingly free.
Another person predicted some confusion on Thursday night when some fans inevitably don’t get the memo about the postponement.
Jackson will also be performing in Atlanta on Wednesday night (April 26), and both of her concerts are sold out.
Fans who have already attended the tour have been highlighting some of the best moments from one of the world’s most iconic performers online.
One fan tweeted, “Janet Jackson is a LIVING legend,” along with a thread of videos from her concert.
The show is split into six acts and features a 40-plus song set list, including hits like “Rhythm Nation,” “Nasty,” and “Scream,” and even some songs she has never performed live, such as “Damita Jo” and “Do It 2 Me,” according to the Los Angeles Times.
Jackson’s tour spans over 30 cities across the U.S.
