Is Washington State the “Grinchiest”? New Survey Says Yes!

Posted on by admin

Is Washington State Full Of “Grinches?”, New Survey Says Yes!

Bah, Humbug! I don’t think so as a new survey says that Washington State is one of the “Grinchiest” states in the nation.

Revealed: Washington Ranks As #8 Grinchiest State, West Virginia Most Festive

Most people in our state are quite generous during the holidays but a new survey says we rank 8th as the “Grinchiest” state.

I had to do some digging to hopefully prove this survey wrong.

Innerbody.com has proclaimed West Virginia the most festive and our neighbor to the East, Idaho, also landed on the most-festive list at #2.

So why is Washington State ranked so low? We are wonderful people here in the Evergreen State so I take a little offense to being called a “Grinch”

Well according to the survey, innerbody.com crunched the numbers with Google and keywords like:

  • Christmas decorations
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas snowman
  • Christmas songs
  • Jingle bells
  • Ornaments
  • Rudolph
  • Santa Claus
  • The Grinch
  • Wrapping paper

And as suspected, Washington State had the least amount of Google searches, when it comes to the holidays.

I’m not worried about it because most Washingtonians are too busy doing good work in their communities and wrapping up presents to be online searching for those key phrases.

I’m sure that’s my un-scientific take on the survey but even Oregon, (our tree-loving friends to the South) scored in the bottom with the rest of us.

Surveys are fun to read and you can check out the full survey here, I’m still going to root for the home team because my heart has grown three times today after reading that survey.
