
KENNEWICK, Wash. – A hidden cell phone discovered in a Kennewick coffee shop’s employee bathroom led to the arrest of a man accused of voyeurism.
On January 30, 2025, at about 10:00 a.m., Kennewick Police Department (KPD) patrol officers responded to a local coffee shop after a panic alarm was triggered by an employee.
The alarm was activated after an employee found a hidden cell phone recording them in the bathroom, according to a KPD release
Following an investigation, officers said they identified the suspect and charged him with voyeurism.
The suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived, after being confronted and fired by the business manager, the release said.
On the afternoon of January 31, 2025, detectives from the Kennewick Police Department Criminal Apprehension Team located the suspect at his residence in Richland, the release added.
He was taken into custody and booked into Benton County Jail.
